Are rape cases being politicize ?

Rape in India can be described as one of India's most common crimes against women and by the UN’s human-rights chief as a "national problem". Marital rape in India is not a criminal offence.
Per-capita reported incidents of rape are quite low compared to other developed countries. According to 2012 statistics, New Delhi has the highest number of rape-reports among Indian cities.Sources show that rape cases in India have doubled between 1990 and 2008.

According to the National Crime Records Bureau, in 2012, 25,000 rape cases were reported across India. Out of these, 24,470 were committed by relative or neighbor. Men accounted to commit 98 per cent of reported rapes. The latest estimates suggest that a new case of rape is reported every 22 minutes in India.

So looking at the above statistics are rapes now getting handy for political parties to fulfill their political motives and for media houses to earn TRP. Looking at the sequence of what happened in Badaun Rape/Murder case no one is interested to know or identify the root cause. Is this case an act to get caste based politics back in UP? Is this act intended to scare people those who have not voted for their traditional political parties? I see the outcome of these kind of acts as a caste alignment to their respective traditional political parties because communities are scared and are in search of their survivor. If central govt does not act accordingly it will divide whole India not only UP.

Moreover the need of the hour is to correct the moral imbalance in the society created by caste, religion based vote bank politics. Support for one caste/religion by one party is responsible for all these kinds of brutal inhuman acts.

I leave this question to everyone to introspect the wrong doings and behave in a manner that the dignity  and respect of women is upheld.

Jai Hind, Jai Bharat.
